The Genesis of the Blog

I must start by saying it took all the strength I could muster not to include a Phil Collins joke along with the title. I have to admit I actually typed one in to see what it looked like; sadly two lines of title just never worked for me. Anyway, Amy and I have discussed for quite some time the creation of a family blog, but it has just never happened. When Amy got pregnant, we again talked about it, with no action following. Last week Amy had the baby, and along with the baby came the impetus to finally create this blog.



At least for the immediate future, we expect this blog to serve as an accessible site where we will post pictures of our daughter for all interested parties to see. So, without further ado we present Madeline Eve Payne.















I am not sure how flattering the last of the photos is, but she is my daughter, so I think she is cute. Both Madeline and her mother are doing well. As you can see, mom just looks relieved to be done with the whole ordeal.







I will leave it to Amy to tell the detailed - but not that detailed - story of the birth as I think she can relate the experience with more emotional intensity and in a way that won't make women roll their eyes.
